VYRD accepted coverage for the loss but adjusted the loss to be less than the Policy's deductible.

Also, on August 29th, 2024 [name redacted] provided Vyrd with another incurred ALE expense from AirBNB for $8,923.66 and again asked for contact information for who will be reinspecting as no one has reached out.

After sending an adjuster out to inspect, Vyrd acknowledged that they found damage to the home and that this damage is covered under the policy.

After assessing the damage and the true scope of repairs, the public adjuster produced an estimate identifying $145,405.68 in covered damage to the dwelling.

The insured was devastated and hired the assistance of a public adjuster who provided Slide with an accurate and comprehensive estimate of damages in the amount of $118,891.37.

Specifically, the Insureds, with assistance from their public adjuster, submitted an estimate for $87,022.20, which was a fair and reasonable assessment for the repair/replacement of damages.

To remedy this, we demand payment of the full amount of $51,282.70, representing the proper estimate of the cost to repair the wind damage as confirmed by relevant industry standards and contractors engaged by the [name redacted] family.

Although it is clear that the damages are covered, the carrier has not attempted in good faith to settle the insured's claim when, under all the circumstances, it could and should have done so, had it acted fairly and honestly toward its insured and with due regard for their interests.
